One of the things that matter the most is CURIOSITY. It is easy to learn something and be good at it. But having the drive to actually learn something and giving the effort to truly understand something means more. We believe that we were all once a scientist -- when we were young, everything was so exciting and we had so many questions, as simple as "why are there clouds?" or "why are ants small?" We wanted to discover and explore the world. But as we grew older, we forget that passion. And why should that matter? It's because it's what makes our lives more exciting! We get to appreciate everything around us. We get new ideas and learn from it, and sometimes, it could even be an opportunity to actually create something.
Look at Newton, a simple event of an apple falling on his head made him curious about what we call "gravity". Being adults, we get caught up of our daily routines, worrying and concerned with what's going to happen in the future. Because of that, we forget to look around and appreciate the beauty of life at the moment. Everyone just wants to get along, so let's all have a positive attitude towards life and never stop asking, even the simplest questions. Try it: everyday, just look around and see something that makes you curious. You'll see yourself asking questions like, "so how does a clock work?", "how is air produced from a fan?" or "what is nail polish made of?" From there, see where it takes you! That jacket your wearing, the weather today, or that food you're eating right now could just be the next big thing. You are a scientist and the world is a lab. Ask questions, explore, and create!
